Design of a Volumetric Infusion Pump

Abstract
|
|
|
|
We designed a stable, accurate volumetric infusion pump by employing a peristaltic pump equipped with an anti-pulsation mechanism and driven by a microcomputer controlled stepping motor. This system is provided with the "Low battery", "Air-in-line", "Occlusion", "Bubble detection" and "Door open" alarms to ensure safe infusion. The error rate of this system is maximum ± 1.6%.
